Run
FADE IN FROM BLACK
EXT. LOCATION. Late afternoon
Five friends are running through a large park.
They are frantically grabbing objects and hitting the infected with them.
The opening credits then appear on each of the
characters as they are running; the order is from DIEGO, SOPHIE, THEO, JACOB
then lastly CHARLIE to show her role as the main character.
CHARLIE
(Groans) Urgh (She hits an infected
zombie with a baseball bat the zombie falls to the ground and then gets back up
again and continues to attack her)
DIEGO
(Shouts) There are too many of them
SOPHIE
(Petrified) We are going to have to
make a run for it
CHARLIE
Well what are you waiting for, Run !
The group continue to run from the horde of
zombies but a few of them soon close in and begin attacking one of the group.
(Jacob)
JACOB
(Screams) Help !!
CHARLIE
Looks around and sees Jacob on the
floor wrestling with the zombie she runs back to save him
CHARLIE
She swings the bat and hits the
zombie in the head and blood spurts onto Jacobs face and the body collapses on
to of him, they both push the corpse off and begin to run back to the group
JACOB
(Panting) Thanks
CHARLIE
Its ok just keep up we need to get
back to the group (They hold hands and continue to run)
CUT TO CAR PARK
The rest of the group are hiding in a near by car
park they are not aware that more infected zombies are approaching.
JACOB and CHARLIE enter the car park
DIEGO
What happened to you two, we were
running and I looked behind and you were gone
JACOB
We ran into a little trouble
THEO
So, Charlie had to save your ass
again !
SOPHIE
(Giggles a little)
CHARLIE
I’m going to go and see if the cost
is clear
She runs toward the car park exit only to see a
large group of zombies approaching
CHARLIE (To herself) There are too
many of them! (She turns and goes back to the group to tell them the bad news)
JACOB
So.. is it safe, Where are we going
to go now ?
CHARLIE
(Pause) Its… Its not, there are too
many of them out there at the moment, I don’t know what we are going to do
but..
SOPHIE
(Interrupts) No its fine we can fight
them off !
CHARLIE
Sophie I, I don’t think we can
DIEGO
Charlie is right we are all exhausted
THEO
(Shouting, aggressively) For fuck
sake, we should of just stayed at the hide out we should of never of left, we
need a plan of some sort, how the hell are we getting out of this mess. Its all
your fault DIEGO you’re the one that said we needed supplies now look what’s
happened!
DIEGO
(Shouting aggressively) Don’t you
dare start on me, you knew that we needed supplies you volunteered to come with
us!
JACOB
Calm down!
CHARLIE
Look I know it looks bad but its ok,
ill figure something out it will be ok
SOPHIE
No matter what we are not going to
survive
THEO
One of us will have to sacrifice themselves!
JACOB
What, how dare you suggest that!
SOPHIE
No, he’s right, we need to
JACOB
No, that’s not right, we can all
survive together
DEIGO
It does not matter now they are here!
The zombie horde begin to attack the group,
Charlie looks around realizing the group is overwhelmed she begins to shout at
each on of them
CHARLIE
(Shouting) Run!
JACOB
(Grabs her) I’m not leaving without
you
CHARLIE
Please, just go (She pushes him away
and turns and continues to hold the zombie horde off)
SOPHIE
(Grabs Jacob and leads him way from
Charlie and towards the exit)
The group turn to see Charlie overwhelmed by the infected and begin to
be eaten
CHARLIE
(Shouting)
Run, Just Run
The group leave Charlie we see her being eaten by the zombies as the
group flee to safety.
FADE OUT
FADE IN
We see Charlie in the park stumbling through the trees alone as a
zombie, there is a close up on her face and it then cuts to black
